At Carlton Dental Care, we’ve always believed that great dentistry starts with great people. I’m absolutely delighted to introduce the newest member of our team – Connie Browne, who joins Kelvin and myself as a dentist here at our Merivale clinic.
Connie brings with her a remarkable set of credentials. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Newcastle University in 2021, where she was awarded the British Endodontic Society Pitt-Ford Prize in Endodontology – an accolade recognising exceptional skill in root canal treatment. She has since passed both examinations to gain membership at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, a qualification held by very few dentists practising here in New Zealand.
Before making New Zealand home, Connie worked in a busy UK dental hospital – the kind of environment that sharpens clinical skills quickly and teaches you to stay calm under pressure. She spent three years based in Gore before relocating to Christchurch, and we’re very pleased she chose us.
What struck me most when we met Connie was her approach to patients. She has a genuinely compassionate, unhurried manner – she takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure every person in her chair feels comfortable and well looked after. That matters enormously to us, and I know it will matter to you too.
Outside the clinic, Connie has been embracing everything the South Island has to offer. She recently completed the Kepler Track (no small feat!) and is currently learning to snowboard, which she describes as “challenging but rewarding.” We think that says a lot about her character.
If you’d like to book an appointment with Connie, we’d love to hear from you. Call us on 03 355 8020 or book online at carltondental.co.nz.
