You might like to think of a general check-up as your dental ‘warrant of fitness’. Coming in for regular check-ups means we can spot any potential problems early on and create a personalised treatment plan for your unique oral health needs.

What does this treatment include?

  • A thorough assessment of your teeth and gums
  • Checking any existing fillings to make sure they are still intact and functional
  • Screening for oral cancer
  • A minimum of two X-rays to check for signs of dental decay that could be missed in a visual examination (this is important as dental decay doesn’t usually cause pain or symptoms until it is quite advanced)
  • Teeth polishing

When do I need this?

For most people, we recommend getting a general dental check-up every 12 months. In some cases, we may recommend more frequent visits.

What are the benefits?

Avoid toothaches

Catch oral health issues before they become serious problems

Spend less in the long run by addressing issues early on
